Microsoft Office/Windows 

OEC, on behalf of the Jacobs School of Engineering, School of Physical Sciences, and Qualcomm Institute, are part of the campus MCCA (MicrosoftConsolidated Campus Agreement).  This provides access to Windows and Office products for our eligible administrative staff and faculty. 

OEC also provides a way for anyone in a covered department to purchase a license for Windows or Office through our agreement. This would be a small yearly subscription fee, payable through a campus chartstring.

Adobe Acrobat DC

OEC, on behalf of the Jacobs School of Engineering, School of Physical Sciences, and Qualcomm Institute, are part of the campus Adobe ETLA (Enterprise Team Licensing Agreement). This provides Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to our eligible administrative staff and faculty.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Through the Adobe ETLA (Enterprise Team Licensing Agreement), OEC can add Creative Cloud licenses to our agreement for a very reasonable price. This would be a yearly subscription fee, payable through a campus chartstring.

Matlab

Platforms: Macintosh, Windows, and Unix

MATLAB is a high-performance language for technical computing. It integrates computation, visualization, and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notation.

University of California San Diego has a Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license for MATLAB, Simulink, and add-on products. Jacobs School of Engineering contributes to the yearly renewal of this license.

Google Workspace Addons

Web-based applications included in our Google Workspace domain.




Lucidchart is a visual workspace that combines diagramming, data visualization, and collaboration to accelerate understanding and drive innovation.  Free with your Google Workspace account.

Business Productivity

We have access to business productivity software.  Some require a subscription, while others are freely available.

Trello’s boards, lists, and cards enable you to organize and prioritize your projects in a fun, flexible, and rewarding way.  Free for personal use.

Jira Software: The #1 software development tool used by agile teams.  Free trial, check with your systems administrator for details on an account.

Slack collaboration gives your team the power and alignment you need to do your best work.  No longer supported via a site license on campus, but free for small teams with limited saved history.

ABAQUS is a software suite that offers complete solutions for realistic simulations - licensing is managed through Structural Engineering Finance Group,  is paid access, and is strictly for research purposes.


Gurobi Optimizer software is a mathematical program solver - this program is licensed for Jacobs School of Engineering access. (license server name: jsoe-license.ucsd.edu)
